About the Course

Do you know what to do in a diving emergency?

Although we don’t like to talk about it, accidents do happen while diving.

It’s a beautiful day at the Cisco Beach State Park on the shore of Bear Lake. You and your buddy are suiting up for your first dive of the day. Suddenly a diver pops to the surface 50 feet away and yells, “Help, my buddy’s down there and he’s not moving, I think there’s something wrong!!” There’s no one else on the beach but you and your buddy. Would you know what to do next?

Learning rescue skills will not only decrease your own chances of having a problem but might save the life of someone who does. The PADI Rescue Diver course will reach you those skills.

Through home study and one class session, you'll learn the basics of dive rescue.

Confined Water

You'll review basic skills if necessary and preview rescue skills such as diver tows and in-water resuscitation.

Open Water

You'll apply skills learned in the pool to a real life diving environment during five sessions over two days.
