Will you accommodate my schedule?
Yes! Yes! Yes! Our new, state of the art facilities have been designed to be the best! Our pools are open six days a week. Our instructors have more than 100 years collective experience in Utah. Your time with us will be fun, rewarding, enlightening, and give you confidence. Together we will make you comfortable, disciplined and knowledgeable in the water.

I want to learn to dive but cannot find the time. Can you help?
Dive Utah will accommodate your time limitations in a variety of ways. We have study-at-home and private or semi-private lesson options available. Please call us to discuss your situation. Holladay 801-277-3483 or Ogden 801-394-8842.

When can I start?
Now! We can get you going with either the PADI Open Water Diver CD-ROM or Open Water Diver Video/Manual combination. You can take them home with you today and get started. You will have plenty of time to go through the materials. If you have any questions in the meantime, give us a call.

What should I bring the first night of class?
Bring a swim suit, towel, a pair of socks to keep your feet comfortable in the fins (fin booties if you have them), your manual if you have one, and paper and pencil for class notes.

I am worried about claustrophobia. Is that a problem? Putting our heads underwater and breathing on scuba is a very different experience and one that with the right teacher can be approached in a safe and secure way so that you are not anxious about the process. Once you learn to use a snorkel and see underwater you will be amazed at how much you can see - in all directions!

Do I have to purchase a mask, snorkel and fins?
The cost of your class includes the use of our equipment during your first few weeks of training. As soon as you are comfortable in the water, you will be much happier if you invest in your own equipment.

What is a Divemaster?
One part tour guide, one part assistant instructor, the Divemaster is an indispensable part of your learning experience. In coastal areas he is the person who is filling tanks, checking you in and out on a dive boat and leading tours. Inland area duties include helping instructor, keeping class running smoothly and answering student questions when the instructor is occupied.

Can I become an Instructor at Dive Utah?
Yes, talk with us about whether becoming an instructor is right for you and how to make the most of this advanced education.
