It's a beautiful day at the Cisco Beach State Park on the shore of Bear Lake. |
 |
You and your buddy are suiting up for your first dive of the day. Suddenly
a diver pops to the surface 50 feet away and yells, "Help, my buddy's
down there and he's not moving, I think there's something wrong!!"
There's no one else on the beach but you and your buddy. Would
you know what to do next?
At Dive Utah, we feel that "Be Prepared" is more than just a Boy Scout's
motto, it should be a diver's motto as well.
Although we don't like to talk about it, accidents do happen while
diving. Learning rescue skills will not only decrease your own chances
of having a problem but might save the life of someone who does.
The PADI Rescue Diver course will reach you those skills.
In the Academic portion, through home study and one class session,
you'll learn the basics of dive rescue.
In the Confined Water or pool portion, you'll review basic skills
if necessary and preview rescue skills such as diver tows and in-water resuscitation.
In the Open Water portion, you'll apply skills learned in the
pool to a real life diving environment during five sessions over
two days.
You must be certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver and have taken
Medic First Aid before you can take this class.
